There are no translations available. In Asia, just as previously in Europe and North America, many hotels now have a revenue manager. But there seems to be a challenge still. Many of these revenue managers were previously reservations managers, and they have been promoted into a new their role without enough preparation. The market is now asking for training and education to enhance their skill set and expertise.
‘We have been looking to move into the Asian continent for quite some time after the success we had in Europe. Having talked to hotel management and owners over the past two years, we clearly understand the need for more revenue management knowledge and understanding through hands on training.’ comments Patrick Landman of Xotels. ‘Searching for the right opportunity to expand our training operations to countries like India, China Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia as well as Australia we came across SoftBrands, a global PMS provider. With their international network and the addition to their team of Erik Munoz as Vice President of Sales we found in them the right partner. We have teamed up to bring expert hotel revenue management training to Asia’ he continues. Erik Munoz from SoftBrands adds, ‘We are very excited about our partnership with Xotels. Hotels in the Asia Pacific and Middle East need to increase their knowledge and skills when it comes to revenue management. Xotels with their experts, and extensive training and consultancy experience in Europe are the perfect team for this. It was an easy match, and logical alliance.’ Xotels and SoftBrands will offer hotel revenue management training courses, titled Leadership in Revenue Management’ in the following destinations;
