There are no set standards (such as stars) for luxury hotels. Often 4 or 5-star hotels describe themselves as \u2018luxury\u2019. This also means that any accommodation type can use the term \u2018luxury\u2019. including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xotels.comboutique-hotel-management-company\">boutique hotels<\/a>, <a class=\"glossary-only-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.xotels.com\/en\/glossary\/resort-hotel\">resorts<\/a>, and B&amp;Bs.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a selection of characteristics a luxury hotel should feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Allow an easy, simple and intelligent planning and <a class=\"glossary-only-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.xotels.com\/en\/glossary\/booking\">booking<\/a> process<\/li>\n<li>Fast, easy, discreet Checkin &amp; Checkout<\/li>\n<li>The room offered is exact what a guest wanted (in terms of category, classification, physical location in the hotel, bed size\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Amazing service: Guests should get the feeling that they are known and valued. Your staff should know them by name, be friendly (smiling!) and respectful.
